What if petrol is kept in a china dish in open ?

Dear student
When petrol is kept in an open container or a china dish where it is exposed to the air, it will completely evaporate being a volatile solvent.
As it evaporates, the composition and properties will change because different components evaporate at different speeds or rate of reaction.
