Thunderstorm is a transient storm of lightning and thunder, usually with rain and winds, sometimes with hail or snow, produced by cumulonimbus clouds. Any thunderstorm which brings about hail is hailstorm.hail are irregular shape lumps of ice.

 A hail storm is simply a storm that contains hail. Updrafts in a storm lift water droplets into to very cold air, causing them to freeze. The newly formed hail then falls back down, collects more water droplets, then gets forced up by the updraft again. This continues until the Updraft is not strong enough to lift the hailstone and it falls to the ground. Most hail ranges from pea to golf ball size, although the worst storms have produced softball sized hail
