What is achory and atelochory
Dear Student,
Atelochory or achory is the process where dispersal of plant seed or propagules is inhibited. it is the very unique type of dispersal, as it prevents dispersal of seeds. The consequence of this in evolutionary development is that reproduction takes place at the site where the mother plant grows, which is favourable to the species like in Trifolium subterraneum.
