blue rebellion is when the farmers fighted against british for not growing the crop of indigo because there was no fertility after growing the crop . so later it became the blue rebellion

In  1859 many of  the ryots in Bengal refused to grow indigo and protested against growing indigo. Ryots attacked  with swords and spears, bows and arrows. Women fought with pots, pans and kitchen implements. these people who  worked were beaten up or punished . they had to face a lot of harrassment
