What is called as anticodon and mutations

Dear student, Anticodons are the units of three nucleotides which is complimentary to codons present on mRNA. These are present on the tRNA. During protein synthesis, anticodon reads its appropriate codon & temporarily joins it by hydrogen bonds. For example:- Suppose, for amino acid -lysine, if codon present on mRNA is AAA, then its complimentary codon present on tRNA will be UUU. MUTATIONS= Mutations are the sudden changes that takes place in the DNA sequence of an organism. These are the permanent changes that can be either induced or occur naturally leading to the variation in the populations. Regards.
