What is cell division stops in morula stage?

Dear student.

Morula is one of the stages observed during the cleavage of zygote. Cleavage in zygote occurs during its passage from fallopian tube to uterus. Morula is a 16 to 32 celled stage. It is organized into the outer layer of cells and inner larger cell mass. It reaches the uterus about 4 to 6 days after fertilization and turns into blastocyst stage. Blastocyst is the stage which gets implanted in uterine endometrium and carries on further development. Cell division does not stops completely, rather inward migration and organization of cells takes place in blastocyst, for the formation of germ layers.

Regards.
