what is centrifugation?

Centrifugation is defined as the process of separating the components of a mixture by continuously agitating the mixture at a very high speed. It utilizes the centrifugal force, generated by spinning a device manually or by a spinning motor, to separate molecules by size or density. The principle is that the denser particles are forced to the bottom and the lighter particles stay at the top when spun rapidly.

for e.g butter and cream are separated from milk by centrifugation.

A mechanical method of separating immiscible liquids or solids from liquids by the application of centrifugal force .

centrfugation is a process in which two immicible or solid particles from liquid are seperated by the application of centrifugal force.

for ex....

when ladies centrifugate milk, the bonding between the particles of protein & fats are broken of.As we know that, the fat molecules are lighter than the protein particles the fat molecules floats above the surface of milk in the form of cream whereas the particles of protein settle in the place where they were situated before.

From this ex we conclude that milk is a colloid.

 Hi,

centrifugation refers to the process of rotating a mixture at a very high speed to separate various continuous differing in density.

for e.g butter and cream are separated from milk by centrifugation.

If this helps thumbs up please

Centirfugatiothe is the process in which we can seperate the particles of solute and solvent which are completly mixed together by this process, cebtirfugation depends on

Centrifugation is a process that utilizes the centrifugal force, generated by a spinning motor, to separate molecules by size or density.Milk is a heterogeneous mixture of proteins, fats, and other nutrients. Cream is separated from milk as a fat-rich substance by the process of centrifugation. It will be observed that cream collects in the upper layer of milk after centrifugation. This is because fat (cream) is the lightest component of milk. Thus, it forms a layer on top.

centrifugation      is the process of separating insoluble solids from liquids by rotating at high speeds. It is    done with the help of a device called centrifuge.
