What is clone and somaclones

Clone is genetically identical copy of an organism.  They are usually the product of asexual reproduction. The technique by which clones are produced is known as cloning.

Some plants produced by tissue culture. These plants are expected to be clones but some variations arise, these variations produced in expected clones is called as somclonal variation and the new individuals which are produced are called somaclones.
