It is a landform formed at the mouth of a river where it deposits its load into a body of water.
Three features of Ganga Brahmaputra delta are as follows:

  • with a surface area of some 100.000 km2, the world's largest Delta
  • It is a flood plain result of three rivers  the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and  Megna
  • It is a fertile regions supporting agriculture.
  • The fertile soil has given rise to dense population
  •  Dhaka, Kolkata are some major cities located here
  • Its areas in kilometres is 105641
