The disadvantages of 5 years plan are:
* Despite significant efforts from the Government still significant number of people are living below poverty line.
* The 5 year plans have not been enough to generate sufficient employment opportunities.
* The high inflation rates have widen the economic inequality between the rich and the poor.
* The infrastructure sector has been inadequate to achieve high economic growth.
