What is electrostatic force?

Solution

Electrostatic force is also known as the coulomb force ,it is defined as the attraction or the repulsion of different particles and materials based on their electrical charge.

Here are some examples of electrostatic force:

1. When a balloon is rubbed on woollen cloth, it accumulates electrostatic charge over itself. The charged balloon is attracted by concrete wall. This force of attraction is an example of electrostatic force.

2. Rub a plastic comb on your dry hair and then bring the comb near small pieces of papers. The force that makes the pieces of papers dance is electrostatic force
