• Magnetite is termed as Ferrous-ferric oxide. Magnetite is a mineral, and its chemical formula is Fe₃O₄. The chemical IUPAC name is iron(II,III) oxide and the common chemical name is ferrous-ferric oxide. It is black in color and important ore of iron.

Metals have certain properties that distinguish them from other elements. Metals reflect light and have a shiny appearance. They are also good conductors of electricity and heat.
