what is Fresnel distance ? what is aperture width there ?

Dear Student , Fresnel distance: It is the minimum distance that a beam of light has to travel before its deviation from straight line path. In optics, aperture width is the diameter of the part of the optical system that is exposed to light. Depending upon the optical system the size of the aperture may be fixed or variable. Regards
