Fungi is a group of unicellular or multicellular organisms which feed on dead organic matter. They don't have chlorophyll so they cannot make their own food. They are neither plant nor animal. Some kinds of fungi live on land and other types of fungi  live in water environment. They are classified on the basis of their reproductive structures called spores and filaments called hyphae.For example: yeast, mushroom, bread mold, etc.
