what is germination of seed? can you show by a diagram?

Germination is a process by which new plant comes out of the seed. The seed that looks apparently dry has to be soaked in water for sometimes. The seed absorbs water and becomes swollen. It swells bigger and bigger until the seed cover breaks apart. Air enters through this spilt ends. Oxygen entering inside helps the baby plant to burn the food stored inside the seed and release energy. By utilizing that energy baby plant grows faster. The root part begins to grow downward and the stem part upward from the seed coats. Gradually the baby plant gets its complete form.
