Geometry refers to the branch of mathematics which deals with various shapes such as circles, lines, triangles etc. It is a study of the properties of shape, size, line, curves, planes, surfaces and figures. It is concerned with the length, area, volume etc of these figures. A person who works in the field of geometry is known as a geometer.
