Iodopsin is a visual pigment present in cone cell of eye and is sensitive to high intensity of light. They are responsible for daylight and colour visions.

Iodospin:

It is a violet, light sensitive figment found in the retinal cones of the eye that is responsible for coloured vision. It is also called as the visual violet.

Rhodospin:

It is a pigment present in the rod cells or the photoreceptor cells of the retina which helps the rod cells to detect light and darkness. It is also called as the visual purple. It is mainly responsible for the first perceptions of light.
