What is life cycle?

Dear cycle,
Life cycle can be defined as the series of events and phases that comes in the life of an organism during their life. The series of developmental changes that the individual undergoes, is the life cycle of that individual.

Eg: Life cycle of a butterfly
                                                                                                                       
​​​​​adult lays egg$\to$larva $\to$pupa$\to$adult butterfly$\to$lays more eggs ---- and the cycle continues.
