J is the current density, with unit as A/m2, I = current and A is the cross-section area of the conductor.

@Himshail: Non-Ohmic conductors are called so because they do not follow Ohm’s law, i.e.

V = R.I.

 

@Himangshu: Electric current is actually the flow of electrons through the conductor. By convention, direction of electric current is the flow of positive charge taken from positive (+) node to negative node (–). Hence, the direction of electric current and flow of electron are opposite.
