what is measentry

Mesentery is a double fold of the peritoneum which envelops the jejunum and ileum, and helps in anchoring the small intestines to the dorsal wall of the abdominal cavity. Mesentery supplies abdominal cavity with blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic tissue.
