The medulla oblongata is a part of the hindbrain. It is also known as the brain stem. All the involuntary actions such as breathing, heartbeat, etc. are controlled by the medulla.

The medulla oblongata (or medulla) is the lower half of the brainstem. It is just on top of the spinal cord. It connects the higher parts of the brain to the spinal cord.

Cerebellum is a large dorsally projecting part of the brain concerned especially with the coordination of muscles and the maintenance of bodily equilibrium, situated between the brain stem and the back of the cerebrum, and formed in humans of two lateral lobes and a median lobe.
