What is narrative writing?
Give some examples.

Dear student,

Usually, narrative writing in categorised as fiction, which is based on imaginative events or stories that did not actually happen.  Autobiographies and biographies are examples of nonfiction that is narrative writing, as they tell the real story of a person's life.Narrative writing has a specific  point of view i.e. the perspective in which the story is told. The two main points of view are first-person and third-person. If a story is told in first-person point of view, the narrator, or person who is telling the story, is a character in the story. In this case, the narrator is telling his personal thoughts and opinions within the story, using the personal pronouns me, my, and I.

Example:

Topic: A time when you did or did not stand up for yourself or for someone else in the face of adversity challenge.

Recently, my friend and I went for a picnic to Batkal lake. We carried a picnic basket full of goodies and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. After eating, we decided to go boating in the lake. Unfortunately, we did not wear our life jackets and started paddling out into the lake. My friend stood up in the boat and started waving his arms and shouting just to have fun! Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell into the lake. He started flapping his arms and legs to save himself. The first thing I did was call the guards at the coast to warn them of the situation. After that, I jumped into the lake to save my friend who could not swim and was panicking.....

You can continue the narrative as per your imagination/ experience.
