What is nephron and urochrome

Dear student , nephron is the basic structural and functional unit of the kidney . It is composed of the glomerulus and it's related tubules( proximal and distal convoluted tubules). Urine is formed by the filtration through the nephrons while Urochrome is a pigment which is formed as a result of the hemoglobin breakdown and it is responsible for imparting the yellow colour of urine. It is removed by the kidneys. Regards.

Dear student,

Nephron is the structural and functional unit of the kidney. They acts as filters and removes the waste products from blood and forms urine. They are present in large number in the kidney.  After filtration, the reabsorption of essential ions and water takes place.

Urochrome is the pigment formed by the breakdown of hemoglobin and responsible for the yellow colour of urine.

Regards
