Nimbi are termed as a dark rain-bearing cloud in the poem. The poet explains that the clouds and fields are lovers and the rain is a messenger between them. By pouring out, the rain cures the cloud which means it reduces the burden from the dark rain-bearing cloud called nimbi. The rain pours down to the ground and quenches the thirst of the field.
