What is perpendicular bisector?

A line is said to be perpendicular bisector of another line segment, if it is perpendicular to other line and divides it into two equal parts.

The line PQ is perpendicular to another line segment AB and divides it into two equal parts, therefore PQ is the perpendicular bisector of AB.
