Precis writing is to short down a given passage or a group of paragraphs, generally into one-fourth of the whole passage. It is to kept in mind that the central idea shouldn't be forgotten and the language used should be clear and concise.
1. The main ideas can be highlighted and focussed on.
2. Own words can be used if they don't change the meaning of the given passage.
3. The summary should contain one or two sentences from the original passage.
4. Grammatical mistakes should be avoided.
