what is retrovirus

Retroviruses are the group of viruses that belong to the family Retroviridae. These have RNA as the genetic material that is duplicated in the host cell with the help of enzyme reverse transcriptase to produce DNA from the RNA. The DNA produced gets incorporated into the DNA of host cell and results in the replication of the virus.
