What is terracota

Dear student,
Terracotta is a particular type of fired clay that is mainly brownish-red in color and made from a coarser type of clay that has porosity. In ancient times, people used to make terracotta by putting their clay works in the hot sun to make it harden but now with technological advancements, the clay is fired over ovens or open fire to make it harder. Terracotta can be used to make ornaments and others like pot, vessels, models, etc.
