what is the difference between Dynasties and Empiers ?

Dear Student,

The key difference between dynasty and empire is – Firstly there comes kingdom, which is usually a country that is ruled by a monarch and an empire can be emphasised as a huge kingdom, also it is traditionally larger than a kingdom and it may consist of many diverse regions and nations under its run. Here comes a dynasty, which is the series of rulers from one family.

Here's how Wikipedia explained these two terms:
An empire is a geographically extensive group of diverse states and peoples (ethnic groups) united and ruled by a central authority, either by a monarch (emperor, empress) or an oligarchy.
A dynasty is a sequence of rulers from the same family, usually in the context of a feudal or monarchial system but sometimes also appearing in elective republic.
Hope it helps u!!!

empire = land/property etc gathered over time, and "owned" by the ruler OR relaing to the ruler that owns it
dynasty = relates more to the fact that rule is passed on through a family, and so relates to the time period that that family group ruled for (like the Ptolomeic Pharoahs of Egypt, for example)
