static friction:the friction that is generated when one surface moves or tends to move over another surface is called static friction.it is greater than sliding and rolling friction.

eg:when we try to push a table at rest.

rolling friction:the friction that is generated when one surface rolls over the other is called rolling friction.it is smaller than static and sliding friction.

eg:pulling a bag fitted with wheels.
