what is the difference between static and rolling friction

static friction:the friction that is generated when one surface moves or tends to move over another surface is called static friction.it is greater than sliding and rolling friction.

eg:when we try to push a table at rest.

rolling friction:the friction that is generated when one surface rolls over the other is called rolling friction.it is smaller than static and sliding friction.

eg:pulling a bag fitted with wheels.

static friction : it is graeter than sliding and rolling friction . it is offered when a surface moves over other ..

rolling friction : it is smaller than rolling friction . it is experienced while rolling an object ..

Static friction is when the two bodies (at the contact surface) have no relative velocity.Sliding friction is when the two bodies have a relative velocity, they slide.Sliding friction coefficient is lower than the static friction one.
