WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THICKLY AND SPARSELY POPULATED AREAS

  Thickly populated areas   Sparsely populated areas
  1. Areas that have very high population density are called thickly populated areas.
Areas that have very low population density are called Sparsely populated areas.
  1. Overcrowded regions having more than 100 persons per Km.
  Regions having less than 10 – 20  persons per Km.
  1. Delhi and Mumbai are thickly populated cities.
    Laddhakh and Rajasthan are Sparsely  populated cities.

sparsely populated regions are those where very few people live in that place. examples are: deserts, mountaneous terrain,etc
