What is the function of each heart part??

Mammals have four chambered hear and these are: right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle. Atria (top chambers) are connected to ventricles (bottom chambers) through valves named as bicuspid and tricuspid valves.
Main functions of these are as follows:

• Right atrium: It receives deoxygenated blood from the whole body from two major veins, the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava. Then it pumps this deoxygenated blood through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle situated just below it.
• Right ventricle: This is just below the right atrium and receives deoxygenated blood from the right atrium and then pumps this deoxygenated blood to the lungs through pulmonary artery.
• Left atrium: It receives oxygenated blood from the lungs through pulmonary veins and pumps this oxygenated blood through the bicuspid valve into the left ventricle.
• Left ventricle: This receives oxygenated blood from the left atrium above it, and pumps this oxygenated blood to entire body throgh aorta.​
