what is the major point of difference between population pyramid of india and japan?

In India death rate is decreasing and the pyramid is broad in the younger age groups, because more infants survive to adulthood. Such populations contain a relatively large number of young people and which means a strong and expanding labour force.

In countries like Japan, low birth rates make the pyramid narrow at the base. This results in a low portion of the population for workforce and a very large population of elderly.

japan has more peaple in the economically productive age group ie 15-65 yearswhereas india has less people as compared to japan in economically productive age group.this is the reason why japan is a developed country while india is a developing nation. also, Japan has less no. of people who are dependents ie below 15 while india has more dependents.this is a major threat to japan s future as children as less there.
