1. What is the nature of charge

a) On the metal cap
b) On the leaves of an uncharged electroscope
When a negatively charged body is brought near its metal cap (not in contact with metal cap).

Dear Student, 
                     As the question suggest that the negative charged body was brought nearby and hence the charge will be generated on the metal cap due to induction and the metal cap will have the positive charge induced
                                        In an electroscope experiment when the negative charged body comes nearby the metal cap induces positive charge on it and electroscope leaf will have then negative charge on it.
