What is the role of gall blader?what may happen if it stops functioning or is removed?

Gall bladder plays a role in fat digestion. It stores the bile juice produced by liver. During fat digestion, bile is used to breakdown the fats into monoglycerides and diglycerides by the action of the enzyme lipase. If gall bladder is not working properly, then there will be large portion of fat which will remain undigested. Although it will not affect the digestion of other nutrients. After eating fatty food, there will be a feeling of bloating, stool will contain high amounts of fat and gallstones may form resulting in the pain, nausea etc. If gall bladder is removed, then also fat digestion will proceed. In this case, bile will be released from the liver to the small intestine. In both the cases, high fat containing food is not recommended as fat digestion is limited.

role of gall blader is to store the bile juice produced by liver the gall blader stops functioning when gall stones gets formed over the cystic duct then the bile stored is unable to discharge its juice into the deudonum and thus the bile juice is then diffuced into the nearby artery coming and cauces paleness which we call it as jaundice

the gall blader is removed and the bile then canoot be stored inn the gall blader so it is advised to the patient no to eat too fat containing food as emulsification of fat is done in the liver

hope u understood thumbs up plz
