What is the theoretical difference between a DC motor used in toys and a dynamo? For a school project I tried to make a windmill model by connecting a 1.5 volt bulb with the two input points of a 3 volt DC motor( used in toys). Despite rotating the motor manually the bulb is not glowing. the bulb, motor and wiring are fine. What could be the reason?

Dear Student
Kindly find the answer of your asked query.

The main difference between the two motors is the power of the motor. DC motor to rotate the dynamo is of very high power where as DC motor used in toy have very low power.
he electric bulb require sufficient amount of power to glow.
It may be the reason that the motor your are using is not providing the proper power to the bulb.

Hope this information will clear your doubt about electricity.
