The components of the environment are as follows:
- Lithosphere : It is the hard top layer of the earth. It is made up of rocks and minerals, covered by a thin layer of soil. Various landforms such as mountains, plateaus, plains, valleys, etc are all part of Lithosphere.
- Atmosphere : It is the thin layer of air that environs the earth. It guards us from the harmful rays and sweltering heat of the sun. Gases, dust, and water vapour are all part of atmosphere.
- Biosphere: Plant and animal kingdom are part of the biosphere. It is that slender zone of the earth where land, water, and air interact with each other to sustain life.
