What is thermosetting plastic?

Dear Student Thermosetting plastics are the type of plastics that do not easily soften on heating. They cannot be easily re-moulded and are formed by a three-dimensional network structure joined by strong covalent bonds. They are generally hard, strong and brittle. They are insoluble in inorganic solvents. Example: Bakelite and Melamine. Regards

Dear students,
Thermosetting plastic is a type of plastic which are too hard and can't be moulded or broken and also poor conductor of heat. It can't have the power to take or hold electricity on it. Thermosetting plastics are generally used to make switch, upper layer of wires etc.
