What is transpiration. Please explain in brief manner.

Your friends have answered correctly,

The loss of water through the stomata of leaves in the form of vapours is called transpiration. The stomata are the small pores present in the leaves. Transpiration helps the plants to take nutrients from soil. It also keeps the plant cool in hot weather conditions.

transipiration is the process when the water from the leaves is evaparated by the sun through stomata

Transpiration is the process of water being taken into and evaporating from plants. It evaporates through pores, called stomata, in the leaf. The water comes from moisture from the soil. This water brings up dissolved minerals from the soil.It also helps keep the plant moist.
The roots of the plant absorb the moisture from the soil. As aforementioned the water brings up dissolved minerals and vitamins from the soil.
Intentionally, the purpose of stomata is actually to take in air so that photosynthesis can take place. Stomata are not intended for evaporation as the plant may dry out if it loses too much water.
Transpiration is an important and essential process. It helps keep the plant healthy and therefore contributes to our survival, since photosynthesis must take place in order to supply our oxygen.

transpiration means likewater evapourates from rivers lakes oceans in the same manner water evapourates from plants

Transpiration is a process similar to evaporation. It is the loss of water vapor from parts of plants(similar to sweating), especially in leaves but also in stemsflowers and roots. Leaf surfaces are dotted with openings called, collectively, stomata, and in most plants they are more numerous on the undersides of the foliage. The stoma are bordered by guard cells that open and close the pore.
