What is typhoid? How is it spread? What are its symptoms? How can we prevent it?

Typhoid is a bacterial disease caused by Salmonella typhi. It occurs through faecal contamination of food and water. Symptoms include Fever, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting, headache. We can prevent it by antibiotics such as ampicillin and chloramphenicol.
