Simple Past:-
It is used to talk about a completed action in a time before now. Duration is not important. It can be in recent past or distant past.
Rule- Subject + verb 2nd form
For eg.- My father died last year.

Past Continuous:-
It describes the actions or events which began in the past and is still going on at the time of speaking.
Rule- Subject + was/were + verb + ing
For eg.- She was looking for her baby.

Simple Present:-
It is used to describe regular actions, facts, habits and universal truths.
Rule- Subject + verb 1st from
For eg.- I get up early everyday

Present Continuous:- 
It is used to denote an unfinished task. In other words, an action that has been started in the present and has not completed yet.
Rule- Subject +is/am/are+ verb+ ing
For eg.- I am still writing my book.

Simple Future:-
It refers to an action that will take place later.
Rule- Subject+ will+ verb 1st form
For eg.- I will go to the market.

Future Continuous:-
It refers to an unfinished action that will be in progress at a time later than now.
Rule- Subject +will +be + verb +ing
For eg.- I will be staying at her place.
