what role does the language play in one's life ? Explain in context of the last lesson

actually language is the means of communication if there is no language no one of us could communicate. According to the context of last lesson, little franz realizes the importance of french when the germans had took france in their control due to which french will no longer be taught in schools of Alsace and Lorraine. now there is no use of realising because now wantedly also he cant learn french thats why it is important to utilize the time we have and finally franz and his fellow classmates realizes how important their language was for them.
