Liberalisation refers to freedom to economy from government's direct and indirect control.

The measures adopted for liberalisation are:

1) with liberalisation, licensing system was abolished.
2) with liberalisation  number of industries reserved for public sector was reduced.
3) Import of capital goods became permitted.
4) liberalisation reduced import quota.
