What's role of leaves and roots and conduction and transpiration of water in plants.
Dear Student
Transpiration of water through leaves causes the water from lower parts of the plant to move up and this helps plants to absorb water and minerals from the soil through their roots. Transpiration decreases the hydrostatic pressure in the upper parts of plant creating transpiration pull due to which water easily move against gravity from roots to upper parts. Water absorbed in the root move upward due to this transpiration pull and capillary action. Thus, transpiration assists in transportation of water in plants.
