Humans have a growing consciousness about the planet. They have started perceiving Earth as a living organism with its own metabolic needs and vital processes.
The Green Movement has caused a shift in human perception of the world around them from a utilitarian object to a living organism. It has raised awareness about our moral obligations to be responsible and dutiful towards preserving the legacy for future generations. There began the notion that we have not inherited this planet from our ancestors but we have borrowed it from our children.
