What should be the gap between  a meal and drinking of milk or other liquid? Why it should be assigned particularly?

Dear student,
Milk itself is a meal because it consist of fats, sugar, proteins, vitamins, mineral salts, phospholipids etc. So, after eating meal your digestive process starts digesting the meal which takes approximately four hours. During this duration if you take milk which is a complex food which also needs to be digested will overburden your digestive system and may result in uneven bowel movement leading to vomiting. Therefore it is recommended to avoid taking milk  just after meal, there should be the gap of four hours.
