Neurons are the important cells in the brain that relay messages. Neurons are responsible for sending, receiving, and interpreting information from all parts of the body.

Neurons are classified into three types.

1.  Motor neurons carry information from the CNS to organs, glands, and muscles.
2. Sensory neurons send information to the central nervous system from internal organs or from external stimuli.
3. Inter neurons relay signals between motor and sensory neurons.
