What used to be ‘great treat’ for Toto? What hurt Toto and why?

Dear Student,
Given below is the answer to your question.

For Toto, bathing in a large bowl full of warm water during the cold winters was a treat for him. Toto would very cunningly check the temperature of the water which the grandmother used to bring for him to the bath. He would soak himself into the bowl up to his neck. He would comfortably rub his hands and his feet with the soap in the warm water. As soon as the water would turn cold, he would rush to the kitchen where the kitchen fire would help him to feel warmer. If anyone laughed at him, he would be hurt and would refuse to go on with the bath.

Regards

Dear student,

A great treat for Toto during cold winter evenings was the large bowl of warm water given to him by Grandmother for his bath. One day a large kitchen kettle had been left on the fire to boil for tea and Toto, finding himself with nothing better to do, decided to remove the lid. Finding the water just warm enough for a bath, he got in, with his head sticking out from the open kettle. This was just fine for a while until the water began to boil. Toto then raised himself a little; but, finding it cold outside, sat down again. He continued hopping up and down for some time until Grandmother came and pulled him out of boiling water. Otherwise that day he must have got burned.

Regards.
