TEACHINGS OF RAMANUJA
1.  Ramanuja was a devotee who was deeply influenced by the Alvars.  
2.  He was born in Tamil Nadu in the eleventh century.
3.  According to him the best means of attaining salvation was through intense devotion to Vishnu.
4.  He propounded the doctrine of Vishishtadvaita or qualified oneness
5.  Ramanuja’s doctrine greatly inspired the new trend of bhakti which developed in north India subsequently.

TEACHINGS OF SHANKARACHARYA

1.   ​​​​​​​Shankara taught that Brahman, the only or Ultimate Reality, was formless and without any attributes
2.  He considered the world around us to be an illusion or maya, and preached renunciation of the world and adoption of the path of knowledge to understand the true nature of Brahman and attain salvation.
