if the soil is not ploughed/tilled properly they will have the folliwing disadvantages:
1.  the non porous or clumped soil rises up and breaks down when tilled so if the soil is not tilled it will remain non-porous.
2.  the soil if not tilled will give rise to weeds.

The nutrient rich soil will not come to the top.
The roots will not be able to reach deeper in the soil for search of water and nutrients

The soil wont remain fertile as nutrients at the top wont reach the seed
